The basis for We Are Here was improvised in February, 2013 by Billy Franklin (Bass), Reid Kruger (Drums), Tom Schroeder (Guitar) and Jonathan Zorn (Guitar and Analog Synthesizer). Tom edited and arranged the raw material from the improvisation and then Reid improvised a pass on fender rhodes on top. We sang a bit and Brian Judd performed the voice of the narrator:

We are here, at the threshold of time and space, celebrating the identity and kinship of the particles within our bodies with those of the sun and the stars, of our brief private times with thevast periods of the galaxies, with the total unifying span of the cosmos.
